Coinbase has decided to list Chainlink (LINK) on its Coinbase Pro platform. The inbound transfers of the coin have started from June 26, 2019 and are in the transfer-only mode currently. As always, trading will be available immediately in all the supported jurisdictions, except for New York state.
Coinbase Pro will roll out options for LINK as per its usual four step process – Transfer-only, Post-only, Limit-only and Full trading. LINK trading will be available in two markets – US Dollar (LINK/USD) and Ethereum (LINK/ETH).
LINK is an ERC-20 token native to the Chainlink decentralised oracle network. This network allows smart contracts on Ethereum to securely connect to external data sources, APIs, and payment systems.
Since last few months, Coinbase has been aggressively adding digital assets on its platform. With LINK, 23 digital currencies are now available for trading on the exchange. A separate announcement will be made for its listing on Coinbase.com.
After the announcement, the price of the coin jumped to $2.50. At the time of writing, LINK was trading at $2.34, up 9.41% in the last 24 hours.
