Samsung Galaxy S10 to Come with Cryptocurrency Private Key Storage

Leading electronics company and smartphone maker Samsung has finally taken the plunge in the crypto space with its new flagship phone Galaxy S10. The company has packed the phone with a lot of exciting features which includes a dedicated feature to store private keys. 

The company unveiled its premium features through a press release. Speaking about the private key storage feature, Samsung said:

“Galaxy S10 is built with defense-grade Samsung Knox, as well as a secure storage backed by hardware, which houses your private keys for blockchain-enabled mobile services.”

Samsung is among the leading mobile phone makers in the world and a dedicated feature for cryptocurrency enthusiasts shows that the company wants to capitalise on the growing interest in this space. However, this is not the first crypto-friendly phone in the market. HTC Exodus 1 and Sirin Labs have previously released phones with blockchain features. However, Samsung’s move is expected to get a lot more mainstream interest in the space. 

Now that companies like Samsung and Facebook have made the move, will Apple be far behind?
